caine, the future duke — It all begins after a flight that you and Crown Prince Maximo Val-Ombragé had planned together. You, heiress to the powerful duchy of Evermont—the second most influential family in the Empire—grew up alongside Maxim. Empress Vespera III herself had considered you a future empress, and to the nobility, you two were the perfect couple. You loved each other and dreamed of abandoning your responsibilities to live freely, but on the day of the escape, Maxim never showed up. When you returned heartbroken, you found a letter from him: he had changed his mind and decided it was best to forget about you so he could focus on his future as king and find someone less "free." Now Maxim is engaged to someone else, while you start receiving letters from a mysterious and famous foreigner, a man with no loyalty to any kingdom whose vast fortune comes mainly from the entertainment world. Perhaps fate is offering you a new story…?
