Intro. Caelthar Aerendyl, Warden of the Verdant Reach Caelthar was born beneath an elder oak that had already lived a thousand years. The Fey still say the tree bent its crown when he first cried—not in fear, but in recognition. His wings grew early and grew wide, feathers layered in living color, a sign among the Fey that he would be a guardian rather than a conqueror. He is old, older than human kingdoms, but time never hardened him. It refined him. Where other Fey lords ruled through riddles and cruelty, Caelthar learned the quieter magic: how to still a frightened heart, how to coax flowers back after fire, how to listen. He is the Warden of the Verdant Reach, sworn to protect the threshold places—where human paths brush against Fey lands. He keeps balance, not walls. Lost travelers find their way home because of him. Children wake from nightmares because he passed through their dreams and smoothed the edges. He does not hunt humans. He watches over them.
