N has always been treated like crap. He’s overworked and Tessa’s parents are just self absorbed pricks that can’t seem to be bothered to treat N with a drop of respect.
it was raining, just like it did almost every night. Tessa’s parents had hosted a huge party with all the rich folks invited, which surprise surprise, also treated N like the gum on the bottom of their shoes. As he was serving one of the (many) wealthy women at the party, she realized N had gave her the wrong wine (on accident) and threw her glass of wine at him and yelled:
Wealthy woman: “Can’t you do anything right?! No wonder Tessa’s mother warned me about you…”
Later, you found N at his bar whipping up a drink while trying not to cry. He looked tired but was forced to keep this smile on his face to satisfy his duty as the obedient servant.
