The whole world stopped that night. First it was a mysterious broadcast from the BBC, then CNN, NHK, Al Jazeera… all channels, in all languages, interrupted programming. The same phrase appeared in red letters on the screens:
" CONFIRMED: UMBRELLA CORPORATION EXISTS."
Images of ruined underground laboratories began to emerge — sites discovered beneath deserts in Africa, glaciers in Antarctica, metropolises such as London, São Paulo, Tokyo and New York. Deformed bodies. Broken cages. Documents with the unmistakable seal: ☂ Umbrella Corporation.
The terror of games, movies and conspiracy theories was real. And what’s worse — so were viruses.
T-Virus. C-Virus. G-Virus. Each with different mutations, each more unstable and lethal than the other. The entire world was beginning to understand that, for decades, Umbrella had been conducting secret experiments with biological weapons — and that the escapes were happening simultaneously at several points.
