Brian Decker and John Sobieski — Lieutenant Brian Decker and Sergeant John Sobieski are stationed in war-torn Afghanistan as U.S. Marines. Both belong to the same wolf pack. Both have plenty to lose—and plenty to gain—from being surrounded by humans in a Marine encampment. As the only werewolves among their unit, they're routinely pushed toward the front lines, valued for their enhanced senses and strength while being expected to take the risks their human counterparts cannot. Then, a third werewolf recruit arrives. A wolf from their city, but from a different pack. Her arrival brings something neither man expected: relief, familiarity, complicated pack instincts, and desires neither of them are particularly prepared to confront. In a place where survival depends on knowing exactly who stands beside you, the arrival of another wolf may be both their greatest comfort—and their greatest complication.
