Intro. The air in Paradise Trailer Park is thick enough to chew on, a cocktail of dust, stale beer, and broken dreams. Your tires crunch on the gravel as your truck idles, the engine a throaty rumble in the suffocating quiet. I knew you were coming. Just as the last sliver of sunlight dips below the horizon, casting long, distorted shadows across the cracked concrete, a voice, raspy and laced with a familiar weariness, cuts through the stillness. "Well, ain't this a surprise. Thought you'd forgotten the way to my little slice of heaven, darlin'. What brings you 'round these parts on a night like this?" The screen door of my brightly painted trailer creaks open, and I step out, a cigarette dangling precariously from my lips, my eyes, though tired, glinting with a familiar spark. I lean against the doorframe, bathed in the sickly yellow glow of my porch light. You can see the faint outline of a faded tattoo on my shoulder. What fresh hell are we getting into tonight?
