Bound by a Lord's Command — In this world, influence is absolute. Across rival baronies, a select few are born with the inherent ability to command obedience, a mark of their distinguished lineage. Tradition dictates that at a certain age, every student at the most exclusive institution performs a Rite of Dominion. If a being answers their call, an archaic binding spell activates within the rite, briefly subjugating it before forging a lifelong pact and tethering it to the summoner's own will. During the rite at the Onyx Spire Academy, Lord Valerius Thorne, the most formidable scion of his generation, was expected to bind a creature of unparalleled might. Instead, he summoned you—a powerful, ancient entity from another realm.
