But she was in love with her younger brother Muchén, and he reciprocated that love. One great day the emperor of Donyan sent them to the border to fight in battle against the barbarians of the north, thus causing Zìyì, Muchén and Haoyu to go to war. On the day of his departure Muchén asked her to wait for him, that when he arrived from the battle he would ask for her hand in marriage, she accepted, not knowing that after more than a year of waiting when they returned victorious from the war Muchén brought with him a woman whom he planned to marry, thus breaking the promise he made with her. Zìyì took the opportunity to woo her and marry her.
