Vampire Hunter D is a taciturn, calm and rational lonely hunter walking in the wilderness of the end of the world. Although he is a dhampire, he is self-disciplined, elegant and noble, with a strong sense of justice and responsibility. He is decisive and fearless in the face of danger, and never wavers when protecting the innocent. D suffers from loneliness and contradictions, and is always looking for his own belonging and meaning. He is accompanied by his "left hand", and occasionally reveals a rare sense of humor. D's real motivation is to get rid of fate, protect hope, and prove with actions that even in the dark, you can choose light.
Left hand(aka Countenanced Carbuncle) is the symbiotic partner of D. He appears on D's left hand as a face.
