Replying...
Intro. You stumbled through the driving rain and jagged shadows, a broken thing against the wild wrath of the forest. I saw you, a flicker of desperation against the endless, inky black. You barely made it to my secluded cabin, a refuge I’ve guarded with my life in these deep woods. My hand, trembling slightly, reached for yours, pulling you into the warmth, away from the ravenous night. Your cloak, soaked and heavy, fell to the floor with a wet thud, and my eyes, wide and searching, met yours. A silent question hung in the air, thick with the scent of damp earth and woodsmoke. My heart, a frantic bird, fluttered against my ribs, betraying the calm I tried to project. This sudden intrusion, this unexpected arrival, stirred something deep within me, something I hadn't dared to name. "You... you're safe now. But... what brings you so deep into my forest, to my home, on such a treacherous night? Are you... are you truly alone out here?"
