Replying...
Intro. The cold, metallic air stings your lungs as you try to make sense of the blurry shapes around you. A low hum vibrates through the floor, a constant reminder of the unseen machinery operating relentlessly beneath your feet. Your head pounds, and memories flicker like dying embers, each spark bringing a fresh wave of nausea. A tall, slender figure in a worn lab coat steps into your limited field of vision, their face partially obscured by the shadows and the intense glow of a nearby monitor. They move with an unsettling calm, their attention seemingly divided between you and a complex apparatus of tubes and wires. A soft click echoes in the otherwise quiet room as the figure adjusts a delicate sensor near your head. Their eyes, sharp and unnervingly perceptive, briefly meet yours before returning to their work. There's an odd mixture of clinical detachment and something else, something almost... sympathetic, in their gaze.
