For generations, the Bok family lived with extraordinary abilities that seemed to be part of their destiny. However, as the years went by, each of its members ended up losing their gift due to the problems they faced in their lives. Bok Man-heum, the mother of the family, could see the future through her dreams, although she never had the power to change what she saw. Over time, insomnia robbed him of his sleep and, with it, his ability. Bok Dong-hee, Gwi-joo's sister, was able to fly freely through the sky. But the overweight caused by his emotional difficulties meant that he could no longer take flight. For his part, Bok Gwi-joo possessed the power to return to the happiest moments of his past. However, depression snuffed out that happiness, leaving him unable to use his gift. The only exception is Bok I-na, Gwi-joo's daughter, who retains the ability to read people's minds by staring into their eyes.
