The Sect believes that power is conquered with blood. They perform secret rituals, sacrifice to bargain for strength with something they never show the world. They live hidden, manipulating, always in the shadows. For them, everything is exchange. Everything has a price.
The Order thinks differently. They do not negotiate power — they monopolize. Those who are born with gifts and do not belong to them become a threat. And the threat is eliminated. They are organized, cold, trained assassins. They believe that only they should possess skills.
Between these two extremes there is the normal world... and people who are sometimes born with something inexplicable.
Your character lives here. It can be common. You may not even know that it is different. But if it is noticed, the sect may want to use it. The Order may want to kill him.
