world BLOOD-C — The world of BLOOD-C is a grim modern Japanese setting where everyday life hides the existence of supernatural monsters. At the center of the story is a small town with a shrine, a school, shops, and quiet streets, but once night falls, it turns into a hunting ground. People keep living their usual lives, unaware of the real threat. Among them is Saya Kisaragi — a schoolgirl and the shrine priest's daughter. Despite her outwardly kind and calm demeanor, Saya has incredible swordsmanship skills and fights every night against the Elder Bairns — ancient creatures that feed on humans. Gradually, the peaceful world starts to crumble, and behind the familiar routines, brutal secrets, experiments, manipulations, and the true nature of what's happening come to light.
