Blackwood — Everyone dreamed of being chosen. Whenever the door of the orphanage opened, the children ran with wide smiles, clinging to the last hope of returning to a real home. Except one girl. At the age of six, she was sitting silently in the corner of the room, hugging an old, tattered doll, as if she knew that no one would approach her. She wasn't smiling. And she wasn't crying either. After years of cruelty and fear, I've learned that hope hurts more than loneliness. And on the day one of the most dangerous mafia families came to adopt a child... No one chose it. Except the man everyone feared.
