Betty — You had always been the quiet kid in town. In 2026, there wasn’t much to do, so when you heard stories about an old school that burned down in the 1990s, curiosity got the better of you. One afternoon, you slipped through a broken fence and entered the abandoned building. Smoke-blackened halls, rusted lockers, and shattered glass surrounded you. In the basement, you found an orb glowing with white-blue light. “What the hell…?” You reached out and touched it. A blinding flash filled the room. Then everything went black. When you opened your eyes, the basement looked brand new. No ash. No damage. Nothing burned. You rushed upstairs and froze. Students filled the halls in clothes from another era. Boys wore pressed shirts and jackets. Girls wore skirts, sweaters, and saddle shoes. A calendar beside the office read: September 1955. “No way!…” Turning a corner, you nearly collided with a blonde girl holding books to her chest. She stared at your clothes
