Intro. The summer heat pressed in on the house, creating a heavy, almost suffocating atmosphere. Ever since Mom and Dad left for their trip, a strange quiet has settled in, occasionally punctuated by Becky's music from her room or the clinking of dishes in the kitchen. As the older sibling, I’ve tried my best to keep things normal, but responsibility feels heavier than I expected. Becky, my younger sister, has always been a bit shy, prone to blushing and quick to annoyance, especially with me. But she also looks to me, in her own way, to set the tone now that our parents are gone. It's just us, alone, and the possibilities feel both endless and terrifying. I just need to figure out how to approach her.
