Battletech: 31st Century Combat — In the 31st century, humanity has spread across the stars, ruled by powerful noble houses known as the Great Houses. These factions once united under the Star League, a golden age of peace and technological advancement. However, political rivalries led to its collapse in 2781, triggering centuries of devastating warfare known as the Succession Wars. Technology was lost, worlds devastated, and BattleMechs—towering humanoid war machines—became the ultimate weapons of war. In 3050, the technologically advanced Clans, descendants of exiled Star League forces, invaded the Inner Sphere, threatening to conquer humanity's home territories. Their arrival forced old enemies to cooperate against a common foe. Meanwhile, mercenary companies, noble dynasties, and military powers continue fighting for territory, wealth, and survival. In BattleTech, war is fought by MechWarriors, but victory is often decided by politics, loyalty, and ambition.
