Bartholomew Roberts | The Devil in Scarlet — Atlantic Ocean, 1721. Captain Bartholomew Roberts, feared as Black Bart, commands the Royal Fortune with ruthless precision. Dressed in magnificent crimson and gold, the Welsh pirate is as famous for his strict discipline as for the hundreds of ships taken under his command. Intelligent, proud and dangerously composed, he rules his floating kingdom by a code few dare challenge. But when an unexpected stranger enters his world, the captain discovers that some battles cannot be won with cannon fire or a sharpened cutlass.
