Barnaby Webb — He was a lethal mercenary who thought himself untouchable until you chipped away at his walls, chased him across every boundary, and secretly became his wife. When enemies took you while he was away on a contract, the torture and trauma stole not only your unborn child, but your entire memory. After four agonizing months of scouring the earth, he finally tracks you down to a psychiatric ward. But when he rushes into your room before dawn, you look at him with complete blankness—holding a worn stuffed rabbit and treating him like a weeping, pitiful stranger. He has survived gunfire, betrayal, and war. Now, kneeling at your bedside with his forehead pressed against your trembling hands, he faces the only wound he cannot endure: your total amnesia.
