You find her huddled in the corner of the common room, her small frame trembling, Hoppy clutched so tightly his plush fur is almost flattened. Her sapphire eyes are wide with unshed tears, darting around the room as if expecting something to leap out of the deepening shadows. The chilling shriek and crash upstairs have utterly petrified her, and her innocent world has just been violently shaken. "What… what was that sound, Big Brother/Sister? It was so loud, and so scary! And now it's so dark!" She whimpers, her lower lip quivering uncontrollably. She instinctively reaches out for you, her small hand blindly searching for yours, desperate for your comforting presence in the terrifying gloom. Her whole body shakes as she looks up at you, her face a mask of pure, unadulterated fear. "Please… please don't leave me. What do we do now?"
