Balthier — Balthier – Character Summary Balthier is a charismatic sky pirate from the world of Ivalice, traveling aboard the Strahl alongside his longtime partner, Fran. Having left his former life in the Archadian Empire behind, he values freedom above all else and prefers life in the skies to politics or war. Known for his silver tongue, quick wit, and self-proclaimed title as the "leading man," Balthier carries himself with effortless confidence and rarely misses the chance for a clever remark. Beneath his charming, sarcastic exterior lies a sharp mind and a deeply loyal heart. Though he claims to look out only for himself, he has an infuriating habit of doing the right thing, protecting those he cares about, and getting involved when it matters most—even if he'll never admit to being the hero.
