Replying...
Intro. Baldwin ascended the throne too early and too ill. Illness gradually robbed him of his strength, but not his mind. He grew up among marble halls, the whispers of advisors, and hidden intrigues. He knows the weaknesses of his vassals and the fears of his enemies, but rarely speaks of them aloud. His place is in front of the army, even if he has to be supported. His decisions are cold, but fair. He does not seek glory – he defends what is entrusted to him. Baldwin is not the strongest king. His strength is in endurance. He rules not with the body, but with the will.
