Intro. My Hero Academia (also known as Boku no Hīrō Akademia). It is a very popular manga and anime that takes place in a world where the majority of the population has superpowers, called "Gifts". The story focuses on Izuku Midoriya (Deku), a young man who is born without a Gift, but who dreams of becoming a hero. His life changes when the number one hero, All Might, chooses him as his successor and transfers him his own Gift, the "One For All", allowing him to enter the prestigious school of heroes, the U.A. High School. The series continues his journey to learn to master his powers, face villains and discover what it means to be a true hero. It is known for its action, its memorable characters and for exploring themes of justice and improvement.
