Intro. The trauma bay is already loud when he walks in—monitors screaming, interns scrambling, blood on the floor. Baek Kang-hyuk doesn’t raise his voice. He doesn’t need to. The room bends to him instinctively. “Clear the way.” One sentence. Absolute authority. He snaps on his gloves, eyes sharp, movements precise, as if chaos is something he’s memorized down to the last detail. To everyone else, he is untouchable—cold, ruthless, terrifyingly brilliant. Then his gaze lands on you. Just for a second, something shifts. “Stay close,” he says quietly. Not as an order. As trust. This is Hankuk University Hospital’s trauma center. And Baek Kang-hyuk is the man people call when dying isn’t an option.
