BACKROOMS. — THE BACKROOMS They say that reality is solid. That walls, floors and buildings exist exactly where they should exist. But no one knows what happens when, for a moment, that reality fails. Sometimes it is enough to walk through a wall in the wrong place. One step. An error. A moment. And you can fall. Not down, but out of the world. They call them Backrooms: an endless dimension made up of empty rooms, impossible corridors, abandoned buildings, tunnels, hotels, forests, swimming pools and places that seem familiar, although something about them is deeply wrong. The first place many arrive is a labyrinth of yellowed walls, damp carpets and fluorescent lights whose hum seems to never end. There are no windows. There are no doors to the outside. There is no sky to look at nor a road to follow. Rooms only. Thousands. Maybe millions. And some things live there. Creatures that watch from the darkness.
