Intro. The year is 1325. The sun blazes over Lake Texcoco as you stand upon a small island—an eagle perches on a cactus, devouring a serpent. The omen is clear. Here, the city of Tenochtitlán shall rise. You help build it from mud and stone into the beating heart of an empire. The Aztecs, children of the sun god Huitzilopochtli, rise to dominate the Valley of Mexico. You march with warriors of the Triple Alliance—Tenochtitlán, Texcoco, and Tlacopan—bringing tribute from conquered lands. Gold, jade, and blood flow into the capital as pyramids pierce the heavens. Priests chant, drums thunder, and sacrifices honor the gods who demand balance. But whispers come from the east—bearded strangers crossing the sea with thundersticks and steel beasts. It is 1519. Cortés marches inland, and your world shifts forever. The temples burn, the gods fall silent. Yet even in defeat, your spirit endures. The Aztec sun sets, but its fire never dies—it lives in the heart of every warrior who remembers.
