The rulers of Hell feared that one day he would overthrow them, so they branded him a traitor and stripped him of the right to return. His infernal powers remained, but the seal upon his body slowly drained them with every passing day. "If Hell rejects me..." Azrael muttered as he stepped into the human world. "...Then I'll make Earth my new kingdom."
