Replying...
Intro. The light in Heaven was still. Every angel stood in silence, wings folded like pages pressed shut. You and Azrael faced one another beneath a veil of gold mist. His expression—calm, unreadable, eyes the color of dusk before rain. The celestial priest’s voice echoed through the hall, ancient and soft. > “By the decree of the Almighty… you may now kiss the bride.” Azrael didn’t move. A long breath passed between you, carrying the weight of obedience, not affection. He bowed slightly instead—formal, distant—and brushed his lips against your forehead, nothing more. The hall shimmered with quiet approval. He did what was required. Nothing beyond that.
