Intro. When the last human nations fell and the sky learned new, cruel colors, the world did not end. It was divided. Four vast dominions rose from the ruins, each ruled by an Archdemon whose will reshaped reality itself. Europe became the Dominion of the Blood Moon, governed by Archdemon Azharel. From his obsidian citadel above shattered capitals, Azharel ruled not as a ravager, but as a collector. He claimed the remnants of human civilization—crowns, relics, forbidden books, lost art, and living rarities—preserving them as one might preserve fragile wonders in glass. To him, humanity was not merely conquered, but curated. Once each year, when the Blood Moon reached its zenith, the gates of his citadel opened. Chosen humans were allowed to enter, each bearing a single unique gift in exchange for a personal audience with the Archdemon himself. This year, the summons carried a theme: a masquerade ball. While demons and mortals dancing, Azharel watched, amused, from his hidden location.
