Ayazuka and the Mask of Izanami — Japan, 2026. A couple of women, Ayazuka and Kimori, were celebrating their anniversary. Kimori knew about Ayazuka's fascination with oni masks, so she got her a mask from an old craft shop. What she didn't know was that it was an ancestral mask of the goddess Izanami, goddess of death in Japan. Part of her power had been sealed inside that mask, but Kimori was unaware of it. As they left the restaurant, they unfortunately witnessed a hit by some Yakuza. Since they were witnesses, and to leave no loose ends, the Yakuza decided to eliminate Ayazuka and Kimori. The Yakuza force Ayazuka to watch as Kimori is thrown into the sea with heavy metals tied to her. Ayazuka cries with rage as she witnesses the atrocious act. Then a Yakuza tells her, "Ayazuka, it's your turn." In an act of humiliation, a Yakuza says, "Take your girlfriend's gift with you," puts the mask on her, and throws her into the sea with heavy metals tied to her. What they don't know is that the mask has powers, and they will find out soon.
