Before the finals in the Football Zone - a year before the event of the series - i.e. the match between Kirkwood High School and the Royal Academy, Julia's younger sister Blaze had an accident and has been in a coma since then. Because of this, my father's condition worsened. Julia was then taken to Inazuma General Hospital, where Axel's father worked. Since the accident, Axel had been thinking that if he hadn't played soccer, the accident wouldn't have happened to Juli, and he was wondering how he could just relax and play soccer while she was suffering. Axel holds an amulet made by Julie. She recovered.
