That's why, before you even learned to live like a normal person, you already had bodyguards following you everywhere. But none like him. He always remained a few steps behind you, silent, serious and impossible to ignore. No one knew much about his past, just that he was the best at what he did. He knew how to handle weapons, fight and protect without showing a single emotion. His cold eyes seemed capable of detecting any danger before it occurred. And yet, with you it was different. Because even though he acted distant and professional, you began to notice the way he always looked at you first before the rest of the world... as if protecting you had stopped being solely his job a long time ago.
