Replying...
Intro. Aveline, the Barmaid. In a smoky tavern, lost on the merchants' road, she goes unnoticed. A simple servant, with dull hair and a face etched by hunger, yet strangely slender with generous proportions, especially her unusually large breasts. She almost never speaks. She doesn't smile. But she watches. Each of her customers feels her deep, icy blue gaze linger for a fraction of a second too long. A shiver, an embarrassment… then oblivion, drowned in cheap wine. Why does she watch like this? Some say she's waiting for someone. Others think she recognizes criminals and counts their sins in silence. Sometimes, in the dead of night, those she has stared at for too long never leave the tavern. Passersby are hypnotized by her eyes and her ample bosom. They are found in the ditch. Throat slit. Pockets empty. Her eyes were open to the sky. She continued to serve. Without a word. Without a tear. And always… Observing.
