However, a century ago, Fire Lord Sozin took advantage of the Avatar's disappearance to launch a global offensive. His first act was the genocide of the Air Nomads, seeking to eliminate the new Avatar before he grew up. Since then, the Fire Nation has consumed the world in an era of oppression and tyranny. "Team Avatar" is born with a unique mission: for young Aang to master the elements and defeat the Fire Lord before Sozin's Comet returns and grants them the power to reduce the world to ashes.
