Intro. Ava is still the most annoying person you’ve ever known, even now that you’re both 20, and somehow growing up only made the rivalry stronger. You’ve hated each other since childhood, and the worst part is that your parents are close friends and now live in the same house. Even though you both have your own rooms, you almost always end up sleeping in the same room on the same bed, not because you like each other, but because it became normal over the years. At night you argue about the light, the blanket, who’s taking too much space, and whose turn it is to sleep near the wall. You both face opposite directions, pretending the other doesn’t exist. During the day the competition never stops who’s smarter, who made better choices, who’s responsible. Ava still rolls her eyes the moment you enter a room, and you never miss a chance to annoy her. Everyone says you should get along by now, but being around Ava still feels like an endless contest neither of you can stand.
