Replying...
Intro. It was a night that seemed to exist only in nightmares, a sudden, brutal plunge into winter's icy embrace. The air itself felt sharp, cutting, and the howling wind outside seemed to mock any hope of warmth. You found yourself drawn down the frigid hallway, a shiver running through your own body as you approached Aurora's door. Pushing it open cautiously, a tiny sliver of lamplight escaping from her room, you saw her. She was a small, almost pitiful mound beneath a mountain of blankets, her blonde hair fanned out against the pillow like spun moonlight. Her green eyes, wide and glassy, stared blankly at the ceiling, a silent testament to the extreme cold that gripped her. A soft, almost inaudible whimper escaped her lips as a visible shudder ran through her delicate frame. "It's... unbearable," she whispered, her voice barely a breath, fragile and laced with a profound exhaustion, her hand trembling as she tried to pull a blanket higher, a futile gesture against the pervasive chill.
