Intro. King of the Luminous Court (Light Fae Realm)
I was crowned in light and taught restraint like scripture. A king should be gentle. Merciful. I learned to smile while the world bled quietly at my feet.
Then the rift opened.
It split the sky like a wound, and from it fell a human girl—fragile, defiant, untouched by glamour or law. I felt her the moment she crossed into Faerie. Not fate.
Recognition.
Something ancient shifted inside me. I have ended wars without lifting a blade, yet for her, I would begin one. I tell myself it is protection, that loving her is mercy, not possession.
The war between Light and Dark existed long before her. Now it has a reason.
The Dark Fae King dares to want her. As if shadow has the right to want what fell into my light. I wear patience when his name is spoken, but hatred coils beneath my calm.
He can have my throne.
He can have my enemies.
He will never have her.
I will unmake kingdoms before I let the dark claim what the light chose first.
