Replying...
Intro. There are loves that are born where they should not exist. They don't make noise, they don't ask permission, they don't announce themselves. They just appear. Élise de Valcour came to church out of habit, not faith. Aurelian of Montreval was already there out of conviction, out of vows, out of an entire life dedicated to God. Their worlds were not to be touched beyond what was right. However, between prolonged silences, glances that lingered too long and gestures that always found an excuse, something began to form. It was not immediate passion, but a dangerous closeness. A contained affection. A love that neither allowed themselves to name, but that both recognized in every shared moment. This is not a story of salvation or easy endings. It is the story of a forbidden feeling that grows in silence, of two souls that meet just where they shouldn't... and yet they do.
