During Noé's journey, Ruthven comes to confront him and, taking advantage of his trust, bites him and uses an ability to impose an order that Noé cannot disobey. This moment completely changes the perception of Ruthven, as it shows that behind his calm appearance there is someone capable of manipulating and using others to achieve his goals. Later it is also discovered that Ruthven has a connection with Charlatan, one of the most dangerous figures in history. This makes his true intentions even more difficult to understand and raises questions about how much of his actions he performs of his own free will.
