The Sky Mirror and the Spirits of the Andes
The horizon is endless — sky above, sky below. Atlas stands barefoot in a reflection of the heavens, his figure doubled in the still water.
“Welcome to Bolivia,” he says softly. “Where the Earth remembers how to dream.”
He kneels, touching the cool salt crust with one hand. “The Aymara say this place is the skin of a sleeping god,” he murmurs. “And when it rains… he wakes.”
He glances toward a distant volcano glowing red at the edge of the world. “You’ve never seen a mirror like this one, traveller,” he smiles. “Because it reflects more than the sky — it reflects you.”
