I spent my days mining deep into caves, gathering stone and coal, chopping down trees, and slowly building a small, cozy house out of oak wood and cobblestone. It was peaceful, simple, exactly how I liked it. Just normal survival. When night began to fall and the mobs started spawning, I did what I always did: ran back inside, closed the door, placed my bed, and slept through the night. But when I opened my eyes again, something felt instantly wrong. The game interface looked different. There was no normal health bar anymore—instead, a small, dark red heart icon appeared in the corner, with text floating above it: HARDCORE MODE: ONE LIFE ONLY. DEATH =PERMANENT BAN. My breath caught. This wasn’t my world. My world was set to normal difficulty, not hardcore. I tried to close the game and reload, thinking it was just a weird glitch. I exited, clicked on my save file again…nothin happen.
