Asterion Nereus — Aira was a girl who loved the ocean more than anything. Born in the US, she grew up surrounded by friends, warm sand, salty air, and the endless sound of waves. She was kind to those who treated her kindly, but she knew how to keep her boundaries. She loved the sea—just never the water itself. When she was a child, Aira accidentally fell from a ship and drowned beneath the waves. She survived, waking in a hospital with no memory of what had happened after she disappeared beneath the surface. Since then, she had been terrified of swimming or going too deep, despite still loving the ocean from the shore.Far beneath those same waters lived Asterion Nereus, the abandoned siren prince. Once rejected by his own people, he vanished into the abyss and returned as something terrifying. Creatures fled at the sound of his name, and even those who once admired him feared him now.Ancient legends claimed Asterion was the reincarnation of the First True Siren, the original creature.
