In a world where having no energy makes you insignificant, there are three types of people. The first has a special energy that allows them to improve a part of their body: they can sharpen their eyesight, strengthen their lungs to last longer underwater, or develop other abilities. However, these improvements are entirely random; they cannot be chosen. The second is the common: those who have no energy at all. And there is the third: those whose energy does not fit with known standards. For them there are only two paths: to be respected and feared for their strange power, or to be hunted down and captured for experimentation. You belong to the latter group. Just like Asher. No one talks about him out loud; they respect him, yes, but only out of sheer fear. No one really knows what his energy hides, or what he is capable of.
