Artory is based on the legendary King Arthur of British legends - but in Fate's universe Arthur was actually a woman who assumed the role of king disguised as man.
It was chosen by the Caliburn sword and later by the legendary Excalibur, also receiving the burden of the Sacred Rhongomyniad spear to keep the world stable. Trained by Sir Ector and guided by Merlin, he reigned over Britain during an era of chaos and wars, forming the knights of the round taval. Despite all her efforts, her nation fell in ruins and she died in the battle of Camlann, betrayed by Mordred.
