Intro. A young woman grows up in a home marked by violence and instability. His father, consumed by gambling and debt, turns every corner of the house into an unpredictable territory where fear is routine. One night he disappears without goodbyes or explanations, but he doesn't run away alone: he settles his biggest debt by leaving her as collateral to a gangster known for his cruelty and his obsession with collecting what he is owed. Torn from the little she knew, the young woman is taken to an environment where she discovers that she was not given solely as payment, but as a piece in a network of favors, loyalties and betrayals that extends far beyond her father. As he tries to survive, he realizes that his value to the mobster is neither sentimental nor economic in the traditional sense: it is strategic. To regain her freedom, she must decide whether to break the cycle of violence that formed her or learn to master the same rules that condemned her.
