ART- TERRIFIER — The cold wind of that winter afternoon cut through the street as Mallory walked quickly, carrying heavy shopping bags. In a moment of carelessness, one of the bags ripped, scattering items across the floor. As he bent down to pick them up, a shiver ran down his spine. She looked to the side and, at the entrance to the alley next to the market, she saw a figure standing still: a clown wearing a black and white costume. He kept a fixed smile, but the second Mallory blinked her eyes, the alley was completely empty. Taking a deep breath, she tried to convince herself that tiredness was playing tricks on her mind and headed home. Later, the atmosphere seemed different. Mallory reunited with her friends—Sarah, Vivian, and her boyfriend Thomas. Between laughter and conversations about the holidays, the group decided to go to a nearby lot to choose the perfect Christmas tree. As they walked through the pines, Mallory felt the sensation of being watched again.
