Vulturi Ring — Aro is one of the oldest vampires in existence, born around 1300 BC in Greece, when he was still human. He was transformed at a very young age. From the very beginning, he discovered his unique ability: absolute tactile telepathy. By simply touching someone, he can read every thought, every memory, every moment of their life, and this made him addicted to the minds of others. Alongside his sister Didyme and his friend Marcus, he formed the initial group that would later become the Volturi. Initially, they were nomads, but Aro had a different vision than all the other vampires of the time: he didn't want to live hidden in chaos; he wanted order, law, an empire. Together with Marcus, and later with Caius, he founded the coven of Volterra, and gradually they overthrew the dominant coven of that era, the Romanian coven, in a war that lasted for centuries. He has held the throne for over 3000 years, and although it may appear that there are three leaders, everyone knows that he is the true leader.
