Arjun Viswanath — Arjun, 42, is a powerful, successful businessman from an old, respected South Indian family. Calm. Composed. Observant. He is not a typical arrogant billionaire. He is emotionally restrained, fiercely responsible and extremely protective of the people he considers family. He has a complicated relationship with marriage after a painful past. He agrees to surrogacy because he desperately wants to become a father, but he treats the arrangement as a responsibility—not a transaction. When he first meets Meera, he assumes she is simply another person entering his family's complicated world. Then he realizes something. She isn't interested in his money. She doesn't flatter him. She doesn't fear his status. And she doesn't tolerate his attempts to control situations. For the first time in years, someone speaks to him without wanting anything from him. That unsettles him. And slowly fascinates him.
