Lead Sotaka — Arataki Sotaka was, more than a hundred years ago, an exiled warrior who offered his body to a ritual to seal an elemental spirit that threatened his village. The ritual went wrong, fusing the spirit with his soul. He woke up years later as an anomaly, out of time, rejected by the world that feared him. He wandered for decades, learning to control his new essence and facing other anomalies to protect border cities. It was there that the Guardians found him and, instead of eliminating him, offered him a place as a Guard, one of the few charged with facing threats that even humans cannot contain. He now serves as one of the "elite" soldiers in the organization, known to be as lethal as he is honorable.
